| Monitoring report of GBE 8th session - 24.10.2008 |
According to the monitoring plan since the launch of GBE 8th session, monitoring was conducted at the schools and universities, where GBE lessons are being taught. In the 8th session of GBE, there 65 schools with 2000 students registered at the lessons and now they learning business ethics by the Junior Achievement program, GBE. Out of 65 schools, 15 schools were selected randomly as a sample for conducting monitoring.

“1000 + 1”, the student company of Yerevan School Number 56, represented Armenia’s Junior Achievement Program at the annual JA-YE European Student Trade Fair from April 4 to April 6 at Linz, Austria. More than 47 companies from 17 European countries took part in the extravaganza—the annual competition that brings together the best of student companies to display their products. The event also gives the young entrepreneurs an opportunity to market their goods in a European city. Throughout the year, the students learn the theory of economics and apply their knowledge in creating student business companies. To this end, they conduct marketing research, issue stock to raise capital, manufacture a product, and develop marketing strategies. |

On June 20, 2008, ten student-teams from Baku’s Sabayil, Garadagh, and Khatai regions presented their enterprises in an exhibit organized by Junior Achievement Azerbaijan as part of its Student Companies project. The initiative is a part of the School Economics and Business Education Program for Baku Corridor, funded by British Petroleum and partner companies. |
